Mission Statement

Our client provides construction services, with over 100+ locations in Europe. This produces vast datasets, however, managing and deriving meaningful insights from this data is a complex challenge. The client requires a consistent central reporting system for all data, with the aim of detecting discontinuities between locations. 

The existing Excel-based process was inefficient and labour intensive, creating high costs and significant barriers to stakeholder insights. Business leaders also struggled with viewing data from a wider perspective- the scale of the business prevented analysts from successfully comparing location data. 

Our goal is to help the client streamline this process and transform its insights into location-based discrepancies. 

 

Impact

By integrating Alteryx and Auto Insights our client was provided with a comprehensive data management ecosystem. This allowed them to streamline data management processes and gain a personalised virtual data expert through Auto Insights, which highlighted key insights to stakeholders.

Detailed Solution

Continuum first leveraged Alteryx to automate data integration from distinct locations and ensure high-quality data via Alteryx’s in-built cleansing and preprocessing systems. This targeted the client’s core issue with managing data from 100+ locations. The automated workflows made data collection more efficient and greatly cut down labour costs. 

Alteryx’s user-friendly interface empowers the client to independently accelerate analysis, as complex workflows could be built without extensive programming knowledge. Additionally, Alteryx was easily integrable within the client’s pre-existing cloud-based storage platform. 

Next, we deployed Auto Insights to automate data visualisation and reporting. Automated report generation eliminates manual reporting efforts, allowing teams to focus on strategic planning.  Stakeholders receive daily direct-to-inbox emails, which summarize key data insights and express them in visual presentations. Insights are dictated by the client’s personalised Auto Insights Mission, which establish which trends they are most interested in.  

Auto Insights allows the client to access high-level analysis, through the in-built drill-down and drill-through reports. Moreover, the client can gain a wider perspective on the status of individual locations, as Auto Insights automatically flags discrepancies between branches. The automated visuals provided also directly engages stakeholders and reduces the bureaucracy typically seen in a firm of this size.
