Mission Statement
Our client is a trust company rapidly growing by acquisition, and in each previous case used their own team and Alteryx to perform the all important data migrations to their Quantios NavOne database.
On this occasion there were some additional complexities ;
For legal reasons, the test migrations and transition dates was fixed and on an aggressive timescale
The business being acquired was part of a large multinational and run on internal bespoke mainframe systems
Data needed to be extracted from numerous different source systems
As part of the transaction no identifiable data could be seen until the test migration hence we had to work with blanked data
A large volume of several million cash transactions had to be reconciled against bank balances, too complex for Excel or SQL
Our mission was to turn a tangled legacy ecosystem into a launchpad for growth. The client’s bespoke, undocumented systems had become the backbone of daily operations, yet also their biggest constraint. Migrating to NavOne wasn’t a simple data transfer; it was a complete reimagining of their data architecture. We translated years of complex, embedded business logic into a clean, scalable, and future-proof foundation, all while reconciling over 4 million financial transactions with zero data loss and no disruption to operations.
All this meant that we needed to work closely alongside the system vendor, Quantios, to hit the timescales required with no errors.
Tools Used

Quantios Migration SQL database,
Quantios NavOne
Detailed Solution
Mapping
We began by building workflows to analyse the client source files from multiple systems and transform them into the correct Client/Entity/ClientEntity/Address etc format for NavOne.
We then worked with Quantios to translate the data to acceptable Quantios NavOne values.
This transformed data was then written into the Quantios migration toolkit SQL Server database ready for import.
Reconciliation
Another requirement was a complex multi-part banking transaction reconciliation across many millions of rows, and then an extract was batched ready for parallel import.
Collaborative Delivery
Partnering closely with Quantios, we ran continuous progress reviews and refinement sessions, ensuring seamless communication, transparency, and shared accountability throughout the project.
Prompt Rerunnability
Our modular, rerunnable Alteryx workflows processed and validated millions of records each time, giving speed and provability.
This meant that on test and go-live weekends the data translation and validation took an hour each time, ensuring enough time to successfully complete each time.
Impact
Repeatable workflows hugely reduced time and management effort on data migration
Delivered to Time, Specification and Budget
Reconciled data meant no migration errors
