One of our in-house experts, Jack Nunes, built new integrations, upgraded integrations following a back-office system upgrade to NAVOne, improved reporting, assistant in data cleansing and built automated error handling alerts.

The Luxembourg work was the migration of a highly automated Funds TA (transfer agency) system for approx 400 ISINs. It involved a lot of data analysis, the establishment and agreement of data migration rules with the business and the implementation of those rules. There was an iterative process of data cleansing with related reconciliation / testing.

  • Unstructured Data

    • Key-value pairs were used extensively in the legacy system and required analysis, fuzzy logic and regEx analysis during discovery in order to design data structures, transformation processes, error handling and cleansing that allowed the data to be migrated into a relational database safely

  • Data Normalisation

    • Analysed the existing data architecture and data type/format and transformed it into consistent fields and lookups

    • Analysed data quality issues and worked with the business to get the data cleansed, re-shaped / normalised

  • Data Anonymisation & Tokenisation

    • Analysed data based on regulatory constraints around anonymised data as required by the CSSF regulations and laws as determined by the Data Protection Officer

    • Designed data tokenisation measures that complied with the requirements but still met data formatting and passed validation requirements where necessary. 

    • Only the anonymised/tokenised versions of the data were provided to the vendor for development and testing. 

  • Data Cleansing

    • Performed repeated rounds of data cleansing with the business to bring data to a standard required for migration

  • Reconciliation of migrated data

  • Built an extensive suite of Alteryx Workgroups that can perform all data operations in a repeatable sequence from live data

    • Allows all data to be migrated during the migration weekend. 

    • Built-in data validation testing and in-workflow reconciliations 

    • Alteryx Workflows have been extensively tested in full simulations and performed perfectly

      • This was an iterative process

  • Changing business requirements were accommodated quickly and as needed into the later stages of the project. 

  • Services covered :

    • Share Registers & Transactions, Fund & Umbrella Configuration, Portfolio Configuration and Static Data,  Entity Static Data, CRS/FATCA/CDD, Entity Screening, Historical FX/NAVs

  • Worked and negotiated with conflicted staff following a take-over where not all stakeholders were aligned due to climate of change & redundancies

Riskscreen (Entity Watchlist Screening System) Integration

Riskscreen is an entity screening system. It gets a list of the business' client entities(companies/trusts etc)/people and compares that to lists of companies/people that are sanctioned, black-listed PEPs etc and finds potential matches. Topical after the dramatic expansion of those lists following the Ukrainian war.

  • Analysed the Integrations between the back offices of many different jurisdictions and the target Data Architecture as the previous developer had left with no handover. Made improvements where required.

  • Analysed the Data Architecture of the largest back-office system, NAVOne (Microsoft Dynamics) system, which was yet to be integrated and integrated it

  • Produced a Data Cleansing League Table Report that dramatically improved business engagement in the data cleansing process and resulted in rapid integration as well as improved screening accuracy.

  • Management Information screening dashboard summary email report that showed senior management trends in entity screening as well as the current status broken down by jurisdiction and type of entity match

  • Integrations used Alteryx and Alteryx Gallery (Server)

    • Performed Alteryx Gallery administration 

  • Implemented additional business requirements efficiently and with thorough testing

  • Alteryx Workflow and Screening support

  • Passed JFSC regulatory screening test for the Jersey business 

  • Multiple stakeholders (5 offices-jurisdictions) 

  • Prepared for and performed a key role in a successful Azure migration of the Alteryx Server/Gallery
