Macmillan Jersey
Continuum has thoroughly enjoyed supporting Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey for several years as one of our “Alteryx for Good” clients. This scheme, supported by Alteryx, provides a free Alteryx Designer licence to non-profit organisations, while Continuum provide free time from one of our experienced consultants. The work initially helped Macmillan Jersey gather reliable information for their Board reporting, which was previously impeded by inaccuracies, improving the transparency and credibility of their data. A clear example was the difficulty of reporting the total number of new and existing people using their services; questions they found always come up when facing media interviews.
More recently, Continuum consultant George has been assisting Macmillan Jersey with streamlining and automating their data processing. Alteryx was used to automate two of their data processing tasks:
The consolidation of fundraising data from multiple sources into an extract to be reviewed by the finance team.
Data analysis to generate KPI scores used for marketing and management information reporting to their board of directors.
Alteryx has improved these data processes to be far more efficient, accurate, and dynamic, allowing Macmillan Jersey staff to free themselves from manual and time-consuming data management and enabling them to focus on optimizing the fantastic services they provide. This work has also provided stakeholders with a transparent view of the key data impacting the charity at any given time, instead of having to wait for quarterly reports to be manually created.
