Increasing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Productivity
RPA is a powerful and cost-effective way of automating entirely predictable human processes, and several of our clients use tools such as UIPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere or custom .NET robots. However, as with all downstream processes the success and speed of an RPA project is dependent on data quality, and the tools are not built for data cleansing.
Below shows the alternative approach whereby Alteryx is used for automated data sourcing, cleansing, enrichment, and validation, and only “good” records are passed onto the robot.
Records that fail are either left in a queue, where one exists, or added to a new one. This approach allows many more processes to be at least partially automated, and the organisation can return to the process if the cost/benefit analysis shows further development to be worthwhile.
