AI News – let’s have a free Gen AI Alteryx workshop and solve problems live !
As you’ll know from reading my semi-annual client mails, we have been huge Generative AI fans since Chat GPT 3.5 nearly 4 (!!!) years ago. We built the first Open AI Chat GPT connectors for Alteryx which have had over 1000 downloads, but the frustration was how hard it was to deliver production processes that didn’t wander off over time.
This year that changed with the Q1 releases and MCP (API’s for AI) Servers, and we’re all using Claude Team edition for as much as possible and progressing for partnership.
Our team (see news later) has built some amazing Claude & Copilot skills for Alteryx One that will revolutionise how you build workflows – one of our biggest clients expects a 5x increase in workflow development and deployment.
This is because we are splitting the workload as below to use platforms for their strengths and slash time to build or maintain robust business solutions ;
Use Gen AI once or twice to create Alteryx workflows based on use case transcripts, schema, documentation, workflows and API addresses
Your team (or ours) fine tune, test then publish the workflow
Use Gen AI to use the good Alteryx result data in any or all of the following ;
Chat to data and analytics via the Auto Insights MCP Server with no semantic layer
Feed agents only the data they need, avoiding security issues and token burn
Produce beautiful reports and spreadsheets
Generate regulatory reports
I tried to explain this in our Generative/Deterministic/Generative “sandwich” blueprint below – we are convinced that this is the quickest way to get real production value from your AI and Alteryx One investments ;

Alteryx Inspire
Inspire in Orlando saw the launch of Alteryx One’s Generative AI suite.
We were lucky enough to be selected as a preview partners and were already in love.
Inspire was made for me by sharing the experience with Felipe and Adriana from TMF Group, visiting from Costa Rica and Colombia, pictured here with the Alteryx board at the Grand Prix.
TMF are leading with Alteryx One adoption with exciting results - everyone has access to the same tools, so get involved !

Team news - James Balderson, AI Consultant
James joined as an intern in April and quickly showed the impact that an AI native can have.
He lives and breathes Claude and has built our Alteryx and MCP skills that are slashing time to delivery and increasing the quality of a number of projects, both new and upgrading client workflows.
James’ success means that we are looking for a new AI intern plus a new bursary student, so please get in touch if you know a candidate ! (sorry Jersey only)
Fund Management Simplification Case Study, and Next Steps
We already have many of the largest Fund Administrators as clients, but we are also working with Fund Managers to simplify the onerous and inefficient spreadsheet back and forth with administrators.
Using Alteryx to manage fund admin data and producing investor reporting one client ;
Replaced Investran shadow book-keeping with Chronograph and DealCloud and
Moved from 5 people managing 5 funds to 4 people part time managing 17 funds and vehicles
…in one year !
We’ll soon have exciting news to share about the next steps – using Alteryx MCP Server to drive fund administrators’ systems with the manager’s data for common tasks such as Capital Calls, all without a spreadsheet changing hands.
Data Migrations and Implementations - Fenergo
We’re just finishing a big Fenergo lifecycle management implementation where Alteryx has been invaluable in making sense of the legacy platform with millions of documents across multiple clients, parties and mandates including deduplication and ongoing remediation.

Success Story – Fairway Group integrating EWG real time banking with Alteryx for transaction monitoring
Finally, a great success story from our client Fairway Group.
Our partner fintech EWG provide payment, fx and escrow services to a growing number of finance organisations frustrated by the delays and onerous conditions when using traditional providers.
Together with EWG we built a free Alteryx connector that allows real time integration of EWG data with line of business systems opening up many new opportunities.
In this case, Fairway automated their transaction monitoring process, replacing the usual manual downloads with a repeatable, provable process based on real time data.
It only took 1 hour to implement, and saves hours every day.
Every firm has similar processes that might not merit a full project, but now there’s no excuse not to fix them !
