Autumn Continuum Client Mailout - Big Data London, Alteryx One, Fabric and more!

As you’re aware, the pace of change in the world of Data has been unrelenting for the last few years with AI Acceleration, however sometimes you need to go back to the future.
My previous trade was building Microsoft SQL Server data warehouses, but I grew disillusioned with managing coders and increasing cost/decreasing client satisfaction of maintaining them.
I introduced WhereScape RED as a way to introduce standards and simpler maintenance, and all my RED clients still use it and are also Alteryx clients, but it was expensive and hard to implement.

As you may remember, I got hands-on with Microsoft Fabric last year and let’s just say it wasn’t love at first sight with its code-heaviness and difficult environment maintenance.
However it’s clearly a huge strategic focus and since we’re a Microsoft shop, and really like the AI and Copilot toolsets, we’ve been keeping an eye on Coalesce, the modern data warehouse development platform written by the original WhereScape team.

Coalesce is already leading on Snowflake and Databricks, and I’m excited to say that we’ve become a partner for their Fabric launch and will be demonstrating Alteryx+Coalesce+Fabric at Big Data London – more below !
If you want to build in Fabric, or are losing control of your data environments, do get in touch !

Alteryx One

It’s been a busy year with the launch of Alteryx One at Inspire in Las Vegas, and we were then sponsors at the McLaren Analytics Summit at their amazing Technology Centre where clients got to meet the new CEO Andy MacMillan, who is totally aligned with our vision of Alteryx curating and validating data for AI models.

Alteryx One also brings Cloud and AI dashboarding with the standard Alteryx desktop licence –existing contracts will renew onto the new platform so we can’t wait to show you all the cool new features !

Big Data London Presentation – Alteryx + Microsoft AI

Vikram is making a number of presentations at the Alteryx stand on our work integrating with Microsoft Azure AI models, Teams and Copilots – very cool and do come along, and you can interact with the result on our website chatbot.
Vikram will be presenting…

Weds 1000 & 1500, and

Thurs 1130 & 1430

Big Data London Presentation – Coalesce – Alteryx + Fabric

We’re excited that Chris will be the first partner to demonstrate turning Alteryx and any other data into repeatable, traceable Fabric datasets using Coalesce rather than coding.

This solves 2 of the big Fabric challenges ;

  • Getting data into the Lake

  • Managing production data lineage and versions

Early days, but it’s nice to be interested in data warehousing again !

Jiva.ai – the  new no-code, multi-modal AI platform

We got together in London for Jiva.AI’s partner launch, the most interesting no-code Auto Machine Learning platform I’ve seen since DataRobot – but also including Generative AI and Agents, hostable in your data centre for additional security and with a very attractive cost structure.

We’ll be talking more about that in the future, but we see it as part of a value chain particularly for PDF automation/ingestion, probably the biggest current AI use case, and something that we use Nanonets Cloud for currently.

Bursary interns & team news

Congratulations to Jacob and Nikita who have graduated with excellent degrees, heading onto Masters’ at Imperial and Oxford respectively.

We are proud to unveil our 2 new bursary recipients, Erin and Erica – it’s been great having them for the Summer, and good luck in their first terms !

Also here is Sam our newest team member fresh from graduating with a First in Sports Science, with Vikram on a training visit – keep an eye out for the next one!

Data Migrations and Implementations - Fenergo

We love data migrations and implementations, and with Fenergo becoming a common Client Lifecycle Management/KYC choice we’ve built on a very successful project with a large client by partnering with Kaha, the leading implementation partner.

Gratifyingly we’ve had inbound enquiries from international organisations who have found us via Fenergo’s reference clients.

So, if you are implementing Fenergo or a similar platform get in touch, we will help !

And finally…

And finally, a year after moving on from us after nearly 10 years to join a client, Ben Banim has started his own productivity consultancy Akasha.

We’re now contracted together in addition to his other initiatives, so Ben’s available via us if you’d like to work together.

As always, thank you for your partnership and we love hearing from you – see you soon I hope !

Regards
Dan and the Continuum team
